At the Carolina Raptor Center you can stroll along the nature trail for a self-guided tour, observe raptors in their aviaries, shop in the museum gift shop, watch a presentation of live raptors (weekends only), chat with  Wild Wings Educators about your favorite bird of prey (weekends only), read personal stories about resident birds and how they came to live at Carolina Raptor Center, or simply relax on a wooden bench under the tree canopy.

Take 77 North to exit 16B, Sunset Road. Take a right on Beatties Ford Road. Go 5 miles. Take a left on Sample Road and head straight into Latta Plantation Nature Preserve. Carolina Raptor Center is .7 miles on your left.

From Statesville, Winston-Salem

Take 77 South to exit 25, Cornelius and Highway 73. Turn right onto Hwy. 73 West. Go 5 miles. Turn left onto Beatties Ford Road. Go 5 miles. Turn right onto Sample road and head straight into Latta Plantation Nature Preserve. Carolina Raptor Center is .7 miles on your left.

From Concord, Kannapolis, Salisbury

Take 85 South to W.T. Harris Blvd exit. Stay on W.T. Harris approximately 9 miles until it dead-ends. Turn left onto Mount Holly-Huntersville Road and go about 1 mile. Turn right onto Beatties Ford Road, and go about 1 miles. Take a left on Sample Road and head straight into Latta Plantation Nature Preserve. Carolina Raptor Center is .7 miles on your left.

From UNC-Charlotte, Mint Hill

Take W.T. Harris Blvd. East until it dead-ends. Turn left onto Mount Holly-Huntersville Road and go about 1 mile. Turn right onto Beatties Ford Road, and go about 1 miles.
