Located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina's  downtown cultural Center City district, Levine Museum of the New South is an interactive museum housing the nation's most comprehensive interpretation of post-Civil War Southern history.  Featured are stories of the people who have shaped the South since the Civil War.  With vibrant, inviting spaces, the museum presents history that inspires and challenges, educates and amuses. The centerpiece of Levine Museum of the New South is the new 8000 square foot permanent exhibit entitled Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers: Charlotte and the Carolina Piedmont in the New South.

Directions: Take I-77 to the Trade Street exit, going east. Turn left onto College Street. Go three blocks to Seventh Street. The museum is on your right. Turn right on Seventh Street. The museum's entrance is on the right.
